Editing Blog 2
Today on 10/12/21, editing was finished. The process was difficult. Me and my group had no video editing experience among us. Therefore, we needed to familiarize ourselves with editing. This took a short while, but was worth the effort. I could use Clipchamp, the software recommended by my teacher, relatively well. Editing took a total of an hour across the two days we edited. After it was done, me and my group reviewed the commercial. The transitions needed work because they weren't smooth enough. I made sure the transitions lined up more closely with their intended effect. I also took a Gatorade logo and did the final transition. This was the transition from a closeup of the subject drinking Gatorade which faded into the logo. The logo used is pictured down below. Making the fade transition match commercial conventions was surprisingly difficult. These conventions were simple: a closeup of the bottle that was either resting or in use, transitioning into a screen with the logo. I saved the final product to my flash drive, so it wouldn't be lost. Now that my group's editing was complete, I relaxed for the rest of class, aside from making notes for what to include in this blog.
