Planning for My Gatorade Commercial

Image
Props: Since my group is going to be producing a Gatorade Commercial, our main prop is going to be a Gatorade bottle. Other props we will use will include a soccer ball and a goal. Costumes: In our commercial, we will have one group member as the subject. They will be wearing athletic wear. They will wear athletic shorts, sneakers, and a sportswear shirt. Schedule: On 9/22, our group will research different kinds of sports drinks commercials to understand what they should be like. We will also establish the backup plan, costumes, props, schedule, and location list.  On 9/24, our group will create the storyboard for our 30 second commercial. On 9/28, our group will film the required shots for our commercial. On 9/30, our group will edit the film to the point where it is complete and acceptable.  My group is doing a Gatorade commercial, in which the audience sees people participating in physical activities such as sports. The subjects drink the beverage sometime during the commercial, usually towards the middle or end. Various athletic wear is worn, varying from everyday people in shorts, loose-fitted shirts, sports bras and tennis shoes to celebrity athletes in their team uniform: jerseys and athletic shoes. Props are the items used in whatever event the subject is participating in such as a swimming pool, goals, soccer balls, benches, and basketballs. Also included is whatever the subject drinks Gatorade from, for example a branded cup. The set is usually a setting for athletic events, such as a field for soccer, a basketball court, or a track course. The actors, if not celebrities, are seemingly normal people who tend toward the athletic side. Background music is usually not made for the commercial, but licensed. It is typically fast-paced rock that, if not originally fast-

My Group

For project one, creating a commercial, I decided to work with my brother, Kyle. He is in the same class period. Also, it will be easy to work with him as I already know him well. There is no-one else in our group because neither of us know anyone else in the class. I'm excited to see how filming a commercial turns out to be! Teamwork!

Introducing Myself

Hello, my name is Kaden. This year I'm a junior in high school. I decided to take this course for its uniqueness. No other course I know of has students film or study media. I also heard positive things from friends who took it previously. I enjoy playing video games and Dungeons and Dragons. My favorite movie is The Guardians of the Galaxy, because it balances comedy, action and entertainment. I would consider myself introverted, but I'm still excited to take this course. I've always been interested in how movies are made, so I took the opportunity presented here. A photo of me is below.
